hat-trick of contract wins for europa warehouse with longstanding customer
Europa Warehouse has resealed a £250k contract with Outback Barbecues for the third year running.
An existing customer of Europa Warehouse since 2014, Outback has signed a new deal for 2017 with Europa Warehouse’s Birmingham site, which employs more than 130 people and is over 165,000 sq ft in size.
The peak sales season for the product is the spring and summer, but already this year Europa Warehouse has seen its busiest March to date for Outback orders.
Director of Europa Warehouse, Maria Torrent-March, said the team were delighted to be working with Outback for the third year in a row.
She said: “It is a pleasure to work with such a popular and successful brand as Outback and we are thrilled that we will be continuing this relationship for another year.
“2017 is set to be another buoyant year for the brand, as the UK’s love for a sunny day with a good BBQ continues to grow. Last year was a particularly successful 12 months for Outback and its forecast for this year is to exceed those impressive sales figures – so our team in Birmingham is prepared to be very busy processing orders from all over the UK and beyond!”
Europa’s collaboration with Outback also sees it supply logistics services for the business as well as warehouse services. This includes a full logistics solution from a collection of the bonded containers from the shipping port in China (sea-freight imports), warehousing products, customs clearance and finally a delivery to UK distributors, retail outlets or even home deliveries.
Outback, a leading UK supplier, was established in 1979 and is based in Hereford. It sells to outlets such as DIY supercentres, garden centres and high street retailers.
